Dear friend,

By now I'm sure you've seen the horrific news: Donald Trump is destroying the post office in order to undermine the November election. He even admitted it this week.1

Across America we're seeing Trump's goons taking away mailboxes, destroying sorting equipment, and causing massive delays in the mail, all in order to cause chaos and delays in delivering the mail before the election.2

We need to tell both parties in Congress and to act immediately to stop Trump and save the postal service. Can you take action right now?

Sign the petition and tell Congress to fund the USPS and ensure we can vote by mail this fall!

Across America reports are flooding in that the post office is experiencing unprecedented delays delivering mail. People are getting medicines they need weeks late. Letters and packages aren't getting through.3

This is due to Trump's new Postmaster General, who is a major donor to Trump and other Republicans, imposing destructive cuts that are undermining a basic pillar of a modern society. And it's deliberately putting the November election at risk by undermining vote by mail.4

As the pandemic grows worse, it's more urgent than ever that Americans have the option to vote by mail this fall. There's huge energy right now across the country to save the postal service and our democracy. But if we're going to do it, we need to tell Congress. We're running out of time.

Congress is debating the next stimulus and Democrats have proposed billions in urgently needed funding to stop this crisis, save the postal service, and make voting by mail safe and secure. But we need leaders from both parties to show urgency and solve this crisis immediately -- not when they get back from their break in September.

We need to tell the entire Congress to act now. Can you help?

Add your name: Tell Congress to save the postal service and our democracy!

Thanks for taking action in this urgent moment,

Robert and the team at Demand Progress
