After voting to reauthorize a 45-day extension of FISA Section 702 last week, members of Congress raced out of town as fast as they could.

During my years in Congress, I don’t know that I ever witnessed the games that were played last week.

A congressman darting out of a committee hearing so he wouldn’t have to vote . . . Hill staffers complaining about the phones ringing off the hook from patriots . . . Speaker Mike Johnson making so many backroom deals that they conflicted with each other.

Maybe it’s business as usual in today’s world.

But it also means you and I need to turn up the pressure.

Because it’s the pressure from patriots like you who make the Washington, D.C. “elites” question their votes, especially when the outcome of these votes violate the Constitution.

Right now, C4L staff is building a battleplan to force a warrant requirement on the Spy State if they want to dig into innocent Americans’ phone calls, emails, texts, and private messages.

There are many representatives and senators who could care less about the Constitution. Even under threat of death, I don’t think they would vote to preserve your rights because they are a part of the Deep State.

But there are many, many more elected officials in Washington, D.C. who have said or done the right thing in the past.

They voted against 702 reauthorization in recent years . . . they’ve publicly called for a warrant requirement . . . they’ve run campaigns with your privacy as one of their positions.

These are our targets.

And you and I are going to flood their offices with phone calls and emails and petitions over the next 40 days to make sure they know good Americans believe in the Constitution and the Fourth Amendment.

You and I aren’t going to roll over or make deals . . . especially at the expense of our liberties.

And so we need to make sure our representatives and senators know that and hear us LOUD and CLEAR.
