These action committees, their coordinators and the meeting times are listed below. Let us know which committee you’re interested in when you RSVPand we’ll send the Zoom link and agenda ahead of the meeting date. Thanks to those who have already signed up.
Communication, Social Media & Digital Team - Monday August 17 at 7:30 PM Help prepare and send regular emails, set up virtual events, maintain membership lists and maintain the campaign’s Twitter, Facebook and other digital presence. Liz McNichol
Outreach to Local Organizations - Thursday August 20 at 6:30 PM Recruit and be liaisons to local organizations who are interested in getting involved in the DC Poor People’s Campaign. Zillah Wesley
Outreach to Faith Organizations - Wednesday August 26 at 7:00 PM Liaisons to local faith-based organizations who are interested in getting involved in the DC Poor People’s Campaign Ann Griffith, Reverend Graylan Hagler
Theomusicology - Date to be determined. Inspire the movement; perform at meetings and actions; create signs, posters and the like. Luci Murphy and Lark Catoe
Media/Press Team – Next meeting TBD, Met Aug 13 Develop and maintain relationships with local media to publicize the Campaign’s events and demands. Allison Cook
