John,
The Animal Legal Defense Fund and the Humane Rescue Alliance (HRA) are offering a $10,000 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person or people who stabbed a senior dog and left her for dead.
When the HRA found the dog, now called Ladybell, near train tracks in Washington D.C., she was emaciated and critically injured. She had a deep wound to her left eye that was overflowing with parasites and a wound on her head that went so deep it fractured her skull.
This is animal cruelty, plain and simple — and the person(s) responsible for Ladybell’s suffering needs to answer for this crime. |

The Animal Legal Defense Fund is committed to fighting for animals who cannot speak for themselves. But we cannot do it without you. Please help us reach our goal of 1,000 donors this month and make a gift today to support our fight against animal cruelty and injustice.
Luckily, Ladybell was found in time and rushed into surgery. While she has experienced significant pain, she is in stable condition. There is also hope from veterinarians that her eye can be saved. |
Sadly, many victims of animal abuse are not saved. Many aren’t discovered in time — or at all. Their abusers escape justice and the cycle of violence continues.
This is why we are fighting for laws throughout the country that give a legal voice to these abused animals, like Courtroom Animal Advocate Program (CAAP) laws, and provide free resources on how to recognize and report animal cruelty. Because every life is worth fighting for and no animal deserves to suffer abuse.
Help us continue to hold animal abusers accountable. Make a gift today!
We will never turn our back on animal victims, and we know you won’t either. |
For the animals,
