We just wrapped up our first statewide tour of the campaign, and the energy in Florida is simply unbelievable.

Over the past week, I met with thousands of Floridians across the state to discuss the issues most important to them. When people can hear directly from me, our message to cut costs, crush corruption, and end the chaos resonates.

But running a campaign in Florida is expensive. And while Ashley Moody has special interests who can throw unlimited resources to fund her campaign, I am counting on this grassroots team to win.

The first job of being a representative is to listen to the people you represent. Yes, I know that sounds obvious…but Ashley Moody is failing at that simple task. She hasn’t held a public town hall in more than a year.

While Ashley hides from her constituents, I’m not afraid to meet with Floridians in red, blue, and purple areas alike. In just one week, we held a total of 34 events across the state.

Hearing from Floridians has been one of my favorite parts of running for office. Throughout this tour, I’ve gotten to meet with military veterans, teachers, retirees, and learn more about how I can best serve them in the United States Senate.

This statewide tour was just the beginning, and one thing is clear: Nothing can replace these in-person events. Let me explain.

National Republicans are spending big to smear me. They know as well as we do that the Senate majority will come down to Florida, so the attacks are only going to ramp up as we get closer to Election Day.

But when people can hear directly from me — before they see the misleading TV ads from MAGA — they listen. They resonate. And they vote.

We have a lot of work to do to connect with as many of the 23 million Floridians as possible. I’ll keep working to win this race, but I can’t do it alone.
