Official 2026 primary election endorsements from the HJTA PAC

Ballots are arriving in mailboxes, and the HJTA PAC has made endorsements in many of the races voters will see on their June 2 ballot. Please see below for the official recommendations from the Howard Jarvis Taxpayers Association's Political Action Committee. We invite you to check our website for updates, as we are continuing to receive requests for endorsements and more may be added.

The HJTA PAC does not typically endorse candidates in city and county elections. However, many candidates express their support for Proposition 13 by signing our Pledge to Stand Up for Taxpayers. You can find their names here.

If you'd like to find a polling place to vote in person, whether early or on Election Day, call or check the website of your county's elections office. Contact information is here.

Californians who are eligible to vote but not yet registered to vote can register online at the Secretary of State's secure website: RegisterToVote.ca.gov.

Completed mail ballots may be returned by mail, placed in an official drop box, or returned to the county elections office in person. Completed ballots may also be dropped off at a vote center on or before Election Day. If returning a mail ballot, be sure to sign the outside of the return envelope where indicated. Your ballot cannot be counted without your signature on the envelope. If mailing your ballot on Election Day, visit the post office in person for a hand-stamped postmark. For more information about California's statewide primary election, check the Secretary of State's website here.
