Our team of organizers and volunteers are currently taking to the streets all over NY-16 to spread the word about the U.S. Census in service of our mission to make sure that every person is counted.

But the numbers show that we have a long way to go before we can get there. In our district, 15 out of 23 of our areas are currently behind in completion rates by up to 11%. In New York, response rates are also behind the national average.

If we don't act, it's very likely that we may even lose a congressional seat next year. The stakes around this census are too high to ignore — yet the U.S. Census Bureau is closing operations an entire month earlier than originally planned.

So, our campaign is stepping up to fill in the gap by doing the outreach in our district, both in-person and online. To successfully do this, we need to raise $100,000 by the end of August to pay for field supplies, digital ads, printed materials, and tech tools through September.

We're already halfway through August — but right now, we're more than $55,000 short from our $100,000 goal. Please chip in $5 right now towards our Census Fund to help shore up this gap so we can stay on track to keep our organizing funded:
