Democratic challenger Jaime Harrison is closing in on Donald Trump's favorite senator, South Carolina's Lindsey Graham. A recent poll by Quinnipiac University showed the two candidates tied in the dark-red Palmetto State.

Considered a long-shot just last year, Harrison has a real chance to take down Graham.

Despite once calling Donald Trump a "race-baiting, xenophobic bigot," Graham has become Trump's staunchest supporter on Capitol Hill -- leading The Intercept to call Graham "The Most Shameless Man in American Politics."

Graham led the charge against Democratic impeachment efforts -- actually arguing that Trump was too stupid to break the law: "What I can tell you about the Trump policy toward Ukraine: It was incoherent, it depends on who you talk to, they seem to be incapable of forming a quid pro quo, so no I find the whole process to be a sham and I'm not going to legitimize it."

Ultimately, Graham's support helped keep Trump in office. Now, Trump is undermining the U.S. Postal Service in a desperate attempt to stay in the White House and help vulnerable GOP senators like Graham stay on Capitol Hill.
