John -

In just a moment, I am going to ask you to make a contribution to our campaign for Senate. Please give me a chance to explain why this request -- especially today -- is so important.

As we come out of the primary and continue through the summer, which is usually slow for fundraising, we have to continue growing the support for this campaign.

Mitch McConnell is hoping that our fundraising slows down. And what I'm worried about is that it actually did at this point last summer, so we really have to make sure we keep up the pace with just 81 days to go in this race.

Which is why I'm hoping that we can get 3,935 donations today, which is the number of donations we need every day this month to stay on track and hit our goal. So what do you say, John?

Will you make a $3 contribution today to help us stay on track to hit our August fundraising goal? If we can keep up the pace, especially during these slower summer months, we'll be successful in November.

Making the decision to reject corporate PAC money was a big risk, but one that was important to me. Instead, we're funding this campaign by harnessing the power of grassroots energy -- and it's paying off big!

So just know that every time you decide to chip in $3, $5, $10 or whatever you can afford, it allows us to keep putting one foot in front of the other.

Thank you again for all of your support.
