Friend ? it's National Honey Bee Day! This holiday was started a decade ago for beekeepers and bee enthusiasts across the country to honor these important pollinators.

This year has been full of so many challenges, and unfortunately we just got more troubling news. A new study shows the negative impact of air pollution on bee populations. We've known for a long time that air pollution is a concern for humans, especially for communities of color and low-income communities that are more often in close proximity to highways, waste facilities, and other sources of toxic pollution. With this study, we see the effect of pollution on other animals in our environment, including bees.

On this National Honey Bee Day, we are unfortunately reminded of the ways that environmental destruction harms all creatures in our ecosystem. Thankfully with the LCV Shop, you can be part of the solution.
