Looking around at the state of our country right now, it’s tempting to lose hope that the folks in Washington have what it takes to lead us through the many challenges we’re facing.

It’s true that too many in Congress are focused on scoring partisan points and playing political games than actually getting to work for the American people. Here on Team Golden, we know that they could learn a thing or two from Jared about what real leadership looks like.

Since his first day on the job, Jared has been a champion of political independence. He doesn’t always vote the way party leaders expect him to -- instead, he bases his votes on what he knows to be right and what the people of Maine’s Second District need from their representative.

That’s the kind of leadership that will get us through these challenging times. But our opponent’s dark money backers are attempting to replace Jared’s independent voice and bold leadership with more of the blind partisanship that has stalled our progress.
