Hey there, Ben’s finance director here! I’ll cut right to the chase.

I’ve been going over our numbers, and it looks like we’re still behind on our fundraising goal. Can you chip in a few dollars to get us back on track?

Look, I get it. It’s the summer, and with folks spending more time outside, August is typically a difficult month for fundraising. But the outside groups aren’t waiting to attack Ben, and our response can’t wait either.

We need to raise $4,192 by Sunday night to close the gap in our fundraising, and we’re relying on you to do it. Will you chip in before our mid-month deadline?

Here’s why meeting this this goal is so important:

  1. The latest poll shows our race in a dead heat, and just yesterday, Cook Political Report rated this seat a “toss-up.” It’s critical we reach even more voters to help push this race in Ben’s favor. Every dollar you give helps us invest in things like TV and radio ads (check out our first TV ad here!), new digital outreach methods, more campaign staff, more virtual events, etc. -- all things that allow us to share Ben’s with more people across the district.

  2. The outside groups we defeated in 2018 are back, and they’re all in to support Ben’s opponent. Just a few days ago, one of the largest DC-based super PACs announced they’re going to spend $3.1 million against Ben, making it clear buying this seat back for themselves is their top priority.

When I say your donation may be the difference between pulling off another win or falling short in November, I mean it. So will you pitch in to close our $4,192 fundraising gap today?
