** Guidelines for the Medical Forensic Examination of Adult and Adolescent Sexual Assault Patients (2019)
------------------------------------------------------------
We are pleased to share with you the 2019 Guidelines for the Medical Forensic Examination of Adult and Adolescent Sexual Assault Patients. Since August of 2017, ICESA has worked in partnership with the Indiana Emergency Nurses Association, the Indiana Chapter of the International Association of Forensic Nurses and a dedicated Guidelines Work Group of 23 medical professionals to develop a comprehensive resource for nurses across Indiana.

It has been an honor to provide the funding and be involved in this important work. Please take a moment to read the names of the Guidelines Work Group and thank them for their determination to see this process through to completion. Many of them have been involved for well over a year including ICESA SANE Consultant, Cara Berg Raunick, DNP, CNP, RN, SANE-A, CSC, IF.

The Guidelines will be posted on our website today, and on the websites of partners involved in the project.

The shared hope of everyone involved is that the Guidelines will serve SANEs, their teams and, most importantly, their patients well.
