In this week's live event we discussed how Work is a Green Issue. Developing green industry jobs is important, but green WORK is broader.
The conversation we had explored how we can join up the work of activists in different sectors to make urgent systems change happen so that all of the work we do (paid or otherwise) is equitable, dignified, valuable, meaningful and regenerative.
Work is a Green Issue is the first of a three part series exploring how Better IS Possible - because better is already beginning to happen. In the coming week we will explore how Health is a Green issue.

CREATING GREEN JOBS for energy includes making sure that our main electricity sources by 2030 are renewables -- wind, sun and waves. Renewable energy is a clean, abundant source of energy that has positive rather than degenerative effects on the planet. Ecotricity uses the money from your energy bill to build new sources of renewable energy like windmills and sun mills. Ecotricity donates £50 to the Green Party for every switch.

SIGN THE PETITION Yesterday, 280,000 A-level students had their final results downgraded due to a flawed algorithm. These methods of calculation ignore teacher assessments and instead makes estimates based on the historic performance of the school. This puts thousands of young people's university places, apprenticeships and jobs at risk. Sign the petition calling on Education Minister Gavin Williamson to scrap the algorithm and use teacher grades.
