Dear John,
I hope you don't mind me personally reaching out again. This is urgent and I hope you can help.
As you read this, we’re funding the only food aid available for thousands of families in parts of Sudan. We’re reviving farmlands and rushing emergency aid into Gaza. And we’re fuelling a court case against one of the worst oil pipelines on the planet.
So I’m making a special appeal -- asking millions of Avaaz members to help rapidly scale this life-saving work, because it directly affects how much we can do in the critical months ahead.
John, it seems like you care about this work. Now can you take the next step and become a regular donor?
I'm asking you to help fund the protests, direct action, research, and advocacy that we believe will change the world in 2026. When our leaders bury their heads in the sand, and far-right tyrants bomb our world to bits, your support enables us to show up with real power. We cannot do it without you.
A regular donation doesn't need to be big -- but consistent support will make a massive difference. If you can, chip in now to power Avaaz :
I'LL DONATE $1 WEEKLY ( [link removed] )
I'LL DONATE $2 WEEKLY ( [link removed] )
I'LL DONATE $3 WEEKLY ( [link removed] )
OTHER AMOUNT ( [link removed] )
We aren't just resisting the worst -- together, we're building something better . Because real hope and lasting change don't trickle down from the top. They rise from the grassroots.
That's why Avaaz refuses to take a single cent from governments, corporations, or billionaires. No one pulls our strings, and no one tells us which lives are ‘too political' to save. But that means we are completely reliant on our members for everything we do.Only 0.5% of people who get our emails are regular donors -- imagine what we could do if we doubled that num ber! If we raise enough from this email, we could:
Help save lives in Sudan by scaling up our support to community kitchens and local aid groups , pushing to break the communications blackout, and exposing the war's major backers; Push to end Israel's genocide in Gaza and the occupation of Palestine , campaigning for freedom and equal rights -- and ensuring Palestinians have a voice in their collective future; Support grassroots movements fighting for democracy and human rights ahead of major elections this year, in Germany, Brazil, and beyond; Supercharge rapid response campaigns that save lives and protect human rights, defend the living Earth, and put us on the path to a thriving future. Tomorrow isn't written in stone, it's written by those who show up. If you have ever thought about becoming an Avaaz sustainer, now is the time. Please join us:

The strength of our movement comes from millions of people uniting when it matters most -- and together, we've achieved extraordinary things. The stories below are just a glimpse of what donations from Avaaz members made possible in the last 6 months. Every action you took fuelled something bigger than any of us alone.
With deep hope and fierce determination,
Kaitlin, Mike, Marigona, Adela, Bert, Nell and the whole team at AvaazIn the last 6 months, here are a few things Avaaz members made possible: We provided more humanitarian aid to families in Sudan than many major governments. Our local partners say support from Avaaz members averted total famine in parts of Darfur, where local volunteers are cooking thousands of hot meals for people escaping the worst humanitarian crisis on Earth. We saved a kid's football pitch at the Aida refugee camp in Palestine! After 350,000 of us signed the petition and joined the #SaveAidasPitchChallenge on social media, the world's top football federations intervened and suspended the planned demolition by Israel -- giving more than 250 children a place to play. We helped to protect 2 million hectares of the Amazon rainforest -- nearly the size of Belgium! After months of public pressure, advocacy, and stunts supported by Avaaz members, Indigenous Peoples from 14 territories were finally granted land rights by the Brazilian government late last year. We are keeping the world's attention on Gaza's children. On the second anniversary of 5-year-old Hind Rajab's killing by the Israeli military, hundreds of Avaaz members stood alongside her mother in Spain and unfurled this 1,000m² portrait -- sending a clear message to lawmakers: Do not abandon Gaza's children.
PS. This might be your first donation to our movement ever. But what a first donation! Did you know that Avaaz relies entirely on small donations from members like you? That's why we're fully independent, nimble and effective. Join the over 1 million people who've donated to make Avaaz a real force for good in the world.
