Arizona Partnering With Trump Administration To Extend Unemployment Benefits
Arizona is partnering with President Trump and his administration to extend unemployment benefits to nearly 400,000 Arizonans, making our state one of the first in the nation ready to make these benefits available to unemployment recipients. Arizonans are eligible to receive unemployment benefits of $540 a week, with $300 per week provided through funding from FEMA.
Governor Ducey Announces Nearly $100 Million For Child Care Programs, Small Business Relief
Provided by the CARES Act, $88 million will go toward supporting child care programs throughout the state. An additional $10 million provided by Arizona’s Crisis Contingency and Safety Net Fund will go toward rent and mortgage assistance for Arizona small businesses required to pause operations due to the pandemic.

"But now, help may be on the way. Gov. Ducey announced Thursday $88 million in new resources will be going to child care programs throughout the state. A big part of that, $47 million, will be going to the Childcare COVID-19 Grant Program, where centers can apply for funds."
Arizona Department Of Health Services Phased Reopening Plan For Paused Industries
The Department has been working with several industries on guidelines for an eventual reopening and is recommending the following plan based on the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention guidance, the White House Coronavirus Task Force metrics, and expert advice from the medical and public health community. 
Governor Ducey Appointed Co-Chair Of The Bipartisan Council Of Governors
President Trump announced he will designate Governor Ducey as Co-Chair of the Council of Governors. The Council serves as a bipartisan forum for governors and the administration to discuss critical issues affecting states and the federal government, especially matters pertaining to the National Guard, homeland defense and defense support to civil authorities, and advise on policy direction.
New Report Recognizes Arizona State Government Efficiency
The newly released 2020 Invest In What Works State Standard of Excellence report by Results For America highlighted Arizona as a model state in using evidence and data to better serve residents. The report recognizes Arizona’s result-and data-driven best practices in state government strategic goals, data-sharing policies, innovation to improve efficiency and more.
