I just released the following press release on yesterday’s Supreme Court ruling on the Racist Gerrymandered Maps of Illinois.

Fairness under the law means every citizen’s vote carries equal weight, not diluted, not dismissed, and not drawn away behind closed doors. If you believe in protecting fair representation and restoring trust in our elections like I do, I’m asking you to stand with me and to chip in today and help me fight for it.

Congressional Candidate Jeff Walter Calls for Fair Maps in Illinois Following Supreme Court Decision

ELBURN, IL — Jeff Walter, Republican nominee for Congress in Illinois' 11th District, issued the following statement on the Supreme Court's 6-3 decision in Louisiana v. Callais:

"The Court got it right. The Constitution doesn't bend for political convenience — and neither should our maps.”

"Now Hakeem Jeffries is openly threatening another mid-decade gerrymander in Illinois. Governor Pritzker should rule it out today. Voters pick their representatives — representatives don't pick their voters.”

"Look at the 11th District. You can't drive across it in a straight line, and you can't explain its shape with a straight face. Springfield drew this map to pick a winner before a single ballot was cast.”
