Friends,
This is urgent. Some of these local elections have some real promise at being great victories for conservatives, but it will be close.
I know we are all eager to vote down the crazy bonds and to cast our ballots for the random decent candidates.
But it is not enough to just vote.
Read that again. It's not enough! I wish it was. I wish we could simply register our one voice and be done. But most likely, that leads to defeat. Did you know that in my own hometown of Grapevine, we lost a vital election by just two votes recently? That will punch you in the gut as you think about, "I could have asked so and so to vote!" But it's too late.
So right now is the time. You have to do more. To win, you just have to.
Do you have a neighbor who thinks like us but usually doesn't bother voting? Tell them how tight these races are and how badly we need them. Invite them to vote with you and grab a cherry limeade afterwards. I posted that idea on Facebook, and someone called it the "Cherry Limeade Revolution!" I love it.

Your last chance to hit the polls is Saturday, May 2, from 7am-7pm. Here's our list of candidate recommendations.

We don't have recommendations in all areas -- only where we got input from trusted sources. But as a rule of thumb, at the very least we all know to vote down any bond elections. All of them are paid by your tax dollars, and they haven't learned how to spend those wisely yet!
So you have your marching orders. Make it count, y'all! It matters.
