TL;DR: Women in Tennessee are being forced to maintain life-threatening pregnancies—and now the state is trying to silence them. It's time to stop pretending this criminal abortion ban is working and start protecting women and pregnant people. [[link removed]]
Dear Friend,
We're in Nashville, ready to challenge Tennessee's cruel and dangerous abortion ban in court.
But the state's attorney general just pulled our case off the docket.
Our plaintiffs are owed their day in court. If Tennessee thinks we’ll back down, they're wrong. [[link removed]]
WE NEED YOUR SUPPORT [[link removed]]
Team—We're fighting for women like Katy Dulong, who, when pregnant with her first child, was diagnosed with cervical insufficiency and told that she would lose the pregnancy. She asked for abortion medication. Instead, she was sent home. She didn't receive the care she needed for 10 more days. [[link removed]] Doctors told her she was extremely lucky to survive.
Our plaintiffs deserve to tell their stories, stories that show how politicians have put their lives, and the lives of anyone who becomes pregnant in Tennessee, in danger. But instead of facing those stories, the state enacted laws making it harder for anyone to sue—and took our case off the docket.
Tennessee should have to face the consequences of its policies and bear witness to these women's stories. [[link removed]]
WE'RE NOT DONE [[link removed]]
Attorney General Jonathan Skrmetti doesn't want you to know that women are going septic. That they're being forced to carry pregnancies only to deliver stillborns. This is the reality they don't want you to see. [[link removed]]
We will keep fighting for them and every Tennessean who deserves access to essential health care.
Are you with us, team? [[link removed]]
