John: things are bad, and getting worse, in the U.S. Postal Service. The service reported today that voters in 46 states — including New York — and the District of Columbia may have their mail-in ballots disqualified due to the delayed pace of delivery:
This is a direct result of Postmaster General Louis DeJoy's leadership. DeJoy, a Republican fundraiser, was appointed by Trump in early June and slipped into office with no attention from Congress or the press. He's wasted no time in following through with Trump's orders to destabilize the Postal Service — all in the face of a global pandemic and in advance of the November elections.
We must do everything in our power to save the USPS and remove the people in power who are responsible. Will you sign the petition to remove Louis DeJoy as postmaster general?

Louis DeJoy's effect on the Postal Service thus far has been devastating. Just last Friday, DeJoy announced an "overhaul" of the Postal Service, displacing or reassigning twenty-three Postal Service executives in the midst of calls for an investigation into the USPS.
DeJoy's actions have already delayed mail delivery by as much as a week in some places — and important mail is left unattended in processing centers and post offices across the country.
The Trump administration is determined to privatize and defund this essential service that millions of Americans and small businesses rely on at any cost. Now, they're attempting to interfere with an election that will heavily rely on people voting by mail.
It is imperative that the timely delivery of mail be made a priority before the November election gets any closer. Join us and add your name to the petition demanding the removal of Louis DeJoy as postmaster general.
