The Trump-Pence administration is bullying health care providers at Planned Parenthood. They want doctors and clinicians to stop telling patients how and where they can access abortion. If health care providers don't follow this gag rule, they can't provide care in the Title X program, which serves 4 million people a year.

This is unethical, and health care providers should never withhold information from patients about their health.

Planned Parenthood health centers nationwide are being forced out of the Title X program — the nation's only program for affordable birth control and reproductive health care. Right now, we're doing everything we can to keep health center doors open. Say you're ready to fight back by rushing an emergency gift right now. Your gift will help us defend against attacks on Title X and reproductive health and rights — wherever, whenever.

I'll be honest, losing Title X funding will be devastating. Being forced out of the program at a time when health care costs are skyrocketing, means free or low-cost services are at risk for MILLIONS of patients who get care through Title X.

But when funding comes with restrictions that prohibit providers from giving patients the information they need, Planned Parenthood refuses to participate. Planned Parenthood's number one goal is taking care of patients — and that includes giving them full and accurate information about their health care options. We trust patients, and they deserve to know full information about ALL their options.

We're fighting the Trump-Pence administration's unethical, harmful, and illegal gag rule every way we can. In fact, our allies in Congress are fast-tracking a bill that would protect the Title X program and patients from the administration's attacks. This work just got a whole lot more urgent — we need to put even more muscle behind this fight.
