It seems like every election is framed as the most important we've faced.
But with the attacks on our democracy and our fundamental right to vote, especially in the wake of the Supreme Court's decisions that dismantle the Voting Rights Act, the importance of the midterms cannot be understated .
We have no time to waste. Chip in $35 or more right now to defend our fundamental right to vote! >> [[link removed]]

John
The Constitution places the authority to run elections squarely with the states and Congress – NOT with the federal government.
But now, the President has issued another executive order imposing sweeping new federal control over election administration.
Make no mistake, John, this is yet another unlawful attempt by this MAGA administration to sow confusion and distrust ahead of the fall midterm elections.
We're doing everything in our power to fight back and protect the right to vote , including:
➜ Registering eligible voters
➜ Putting election information directly in the hands of voters
➜ Combating election misinformation
➜ Advocating at every level to keep our elections truly free and fair
John, it will take massive resources to stand up to this new executive order in time to make a difference before the midterm elections. We need your help ASAP: Will you chip in $35 or whatever you can afford right now? >> [[link removed]]

The executive order purports to address “non-citizen voting.”
States, however, already have proven systems in place to verify voter eligibility, non-citizen voting is already a federal crime, and instances are vanishingly rare.
Rather than solving a real problem, this order manufactures one to justify granting this administration unprecedented authority over a process which the Constitution clearly delegates to the states and to Congress.
It's simple: This executive order is dangerous, unlawful, and harmful to voters.
We will never stay silent when the right to vote is attacked, John, including by a hostile administration in control of the federal government.

Integrity First Voter Action Project is dedicated to expanding ballot access and increasing voter participation across the country.
Since the Supreme Court gutted key provisions in the Voting Rights Act, extreme politicians have taken advantage to pass harsh laws that restrict access to the ballot box. These restrictions particularly affect disadvantaged communities and people of color. It’s our goal to bring awareness to these laws wherever they may crop up and organize voters to take action to ensure the right to vote is available to everyone in their states and communities.
