Today marks the end of the month, which really doesn’t matter.
But today could also be the beginning of the end of our democracy, which does.
Yesterday’s Callais ruling from Trump’s Supreme Court destroyed what was left of the Voting Rights Act. Politicians can now not only choose their voters, but they can also choose to effectively disenfranchise Americans from electing their preferred representative solely based on the color of their skin.
This decision could lead to ten more Republican gerrymandered districts by diluting the power of minority voters.
So today, it’s important that we fight back with all that we’ve got.
