Kentuckians need support and leadership in a time of crisis. Mitch just adjourned the Senate for almost a month.

Friend—an urgent note.

Mitch just adjourned the Senate for 25 days, without doing anything to help Kentuckians who are reeling during this crisis and have lost federal unemployment benefits. He left without helping families who face the difficult choice between eviction or paying for rent, medicine, and food. He left without doing a thing to help open schools safely.

And now we all just have to wait—for at least another 25 days—for the Senate to take action. It’s unconscionable.

Mitch brags about his power in the Senate—but he failed to even hold a vote on extending emergency relief counted on by so many. The House passed its bill back in May.

Millions of Americans can’t afford even one more day without competent leadership—and if Mitch can’t be bothered to do his job, he should lose it. That’s what's on the line in November—if you can, chip in and let’s make this year Mitch’s last in the Senate.

Meanwhile, I’ll be doing what I can to help the people who need it. That’s what you do in a crisis.
