At a time where we need it the most, the United States Postal Service is under siege by the Trump administration.
Earlier today, I appeared on MSNBC to talk with Chris Jansing about the work I’m doing to help save the Postal Service from Donald Trump’s sabotage, and what his efforts could mean for our November election. If you didn’t see the segment, watch it here >>
Let me be clear: we have already seen extreme and detrimental changes to USPS operations. Under Trump's leadership, USPS has eliminated overtime, lagged on delivery dates, and instructed carriers to leave mail on the floor of distribution centers.
That's why I just introduced H.R. 2928 the Delivering For America Act on Wednesday. The bill states that any USPS operational policies and levels of service that were in place on January 1, 2020 will remain without alteration until the pandemic is over. This legislation would reverse the sweeping changes enacted by Trump and his Postmaster General and block future attempts at dismantling the USPS from within.
I'm doing everything I can to fight for relief and support for the USPS so that it doesn't shut down when so many Americans rely on its services. Will you pitch in $29.28 today to help me push for H.R. 2928 and other legislation that will protect the Postal Service?
