August 14, 1935 - Social Security Act is signed into law.
1965 - Medicare benefits added to Social Security.
August 18, 1977 - Tom McClintock calls Social Security “morally bankrupt”
August 29, 1979 - Tom McClintock says “[Social security] is the theft of youth’s earnings...(seniors) turned their lusting eyes upon it as another cornucopia of riches for lavishing benefits on themselves.”
1984 - Ronald Reagan signs the Social Security Disability Benefits Reform Act.
March 20, 2013 - Tom McClintock votes to raise the age of Social Security from 65 to 70.
April 27, 2018 - Tom McClintock advocates for cutting $259 billion from Social Security.
March 2019 - Pew Research Center reports 74% of Americans say Social Security benefits should not be reduced in any way.
March 24, 2020 - Tom McClintock advocates for a scheme to weaken Social Security in the middle of a pandemic.

Tom McClintock doesn't get that Social Security is an earned right for our seniors.
