Dear John,
Are you working with parents who are trying to find ways to be there for their kids despite family violence?
FUTURES has materials for parents and caregivers of kids of all ages that showcase simple, everyday gestures that any parent can do to connect with their kids and help them feel safe and loved.
Our brochure series, “Everyday Magic,”

highlights the specific things a parent or caregiver can do or say at any stage in their child’s development to connect with their child. It’s a reminder that no matter the situation, parents have the opportunity to tap into the goodness, joy, and magic already within them.

April is Child Abuse Prevention Month, and we know that helping families have what they need to live and thrive is a big part of child abuse prevention. We encourage you to offer these resources to the parents and caregivers you work with so they can connect with their children or teens and find simple actions that can help them through stressful times.
Thank you for your work to prevent violence and trauma, and to promote healing. Please visit the FUTURES website www.futureswithoutviolence.org for information on training, technical assistance, and additional resources to advance your work.
Sincerely,
Lonna Davis
