First Minister Arlene Foster commenting today after the Secretary of State published guidance on the victims pension payments.

Party Leader Arlene Foster MLA has welcomed publication of guidance from the Secretary of State that those who were injured by their own actions will not be eligibile for victims pension payments.

Sinn Fein continue to block the designation of a department to take forward the payments with the First Minister saying if that continued the government should seek to take the issue forward in Westminster.

Yesterday the First Minister also welcomed the Prime Minister to Northern Ireland where she discussed issues with him including plans to celebrate the centenary of Northern Ireland across the whole of the United Kingdom.
