In case you haven’t heard, the Supreme Court just decided Louisiana v. Callais, gutting the last truly enforceable tenets of the Voting Rights Act protecting majority-minority districts.

This decision comes hand-in-hand with Trump and his Republican allies’ mission to weaken the voting power of communities of color across the country. If you’re as fired up as we are, you can chip in here to fund our voter protection work.

This is a devastating gut-punch to Americans and voters of color everywhere, but Democrats are determined to fight tooth and nail to ensure the voices of all Americans are heard in November and every election that follows.

Here’s our path forward:

The DNC is already working overtime on the ground in key battleground states to register hundreds of thousands of new Democratic voters ahead of November’s midterms.

We’re building power in our state parties and investing nationwide to ensure they have the resources they need to win down-ballot elections this year and beyond.

And we’re organizing across the country to reach as many voters as possible, because we must win back Congress this year.

Here’s the truth, team: We know this is a dark moment in our history, but by winning back Congress this year and beginning to work to win back the White House in 2028, Democrats have the ability to mitigate the harm this decision could (and likely will) cause in the upcoming years.

And by putting a Democrat in the White House two years from now, we have the chance to change the balance of the Supreme Court with justices who believe in and will protect the voting rights of Americans of color everywhere.

This is a scary moment for many, but an important one. So today, we’re asking you to pitch in to the DNC to help us continue fighting to elect Democrats who will protect the right to vote for every American, this year and every year beyond.
