# [#]Hey, California voters will begin casting ballots in just a few days, and we have to communicate with voters in the newest parts of the district, places like Poway, Santee, and Ramona so they understand what’s really at stake.

San Diegans are struggling with the rising cost of living, and Washington has misplaced priorities.

This administration is pouring resources into the wrong places: escalating conflicts overseas without clear answers and expanding ICE enforcement at home in ways that create fear and division in our neighborhoods instead of stability.

And now, Republicans are backing it all up with record spending.

The Congressional Leadership Fund, the super PAC endorsed by Speaker Mike Johnson and House Republican leadership, just announced a $153 million ad reservation for 2026. It’s their largest initial reservation ever, and it includes millions in California markets, including Sacramento, Fresno, and Bakersfield.

That’s the kind of spending we’re up against.

We need to show we’re ready to fight back. Team Peters has always played a pivotal role in electing Democratic leaders in the region, and this year we’ve been asked to lead again.

Extremist Republicans and their dark money backers are already targeting Democrats everywhere, spending record amounts of money to expand their House majority and push their agenda even further.

And with a more competitive district here in CA-50, we have to work harder than ever to reach every voter and make sure our message breaks through.

While they play politics, I’ve stayed focused on delivering real results for San Diego: lowering costs, supporting veterans, strengthening our economy, and securing critical funding to address the cross-border sewage crisis in our region.
