BREAKING: The Supreme Court just gutted the Voting Rights Act in a ruling that effectively dilutes the voting power of Black Americans.

Make no mistake: The Supreme Court’s ruling in this case has the potential to bring back Jim Crow tactics that disenfranchised millions of Black Americans. This is just one more way Trump and his allies, including conservative Justices, are undermining our democracy to maintain their power. We won’t let them prevail.
I introduced a constitutional amendment with Rep. Jonathan Jackson last fall to ban discriminatory vote dilution and affirm the right to vote on the federal level. I’m fighting tooth and nail in Congress to ensure every American can make their voice heard. But I can’t do it alone.
