Why we are 350: Scientists overwhelmingly agree that 350ppm CO2 is the upper limit to sustain life as humans have lived it. For more than 800,000 years atmospheric CO2 varied between roughly 180 to 280ppm ([link removed]) .

Our Earth passed 350ppm CO2 during 1988!
Mauna Loa Observatory ([link removed]) - We are now hitting 432ppm!

The last time in our planet's atmosphere was at this level was in the Pliocene era, around 3 million years ago.

[link removed] County Food Action Plan.

The Dane County Food Action Plan is a community-centered initiative to develop a comprehensive regional food system action plan for Dane County.

Our speaker, Jess Guffey Calkins, will explain how the project pulls together diverse community input and existing data to formulate specific goals, strategies, and actions focused on our local food system. The overall mission is to develop and sustain a more equitable, healthy, vibrant, resilient, and collaborative Dane County food system.

Since one of the cornerstones of the project is increased collaboration, Jess is excited to share more about this effort with 350 Wisconsin and discuss how we can work together where our focus areas connect and align.

WHAT: 350 Wisconsin Monthly Meeting
WHEN: Monday, May 4, 2026, 7:00–8:10 pm

Gather with us at noon every Saturday to make our voices heard.

Together, we stand for justice, equality, and change, reminding those in power that we will not be silent. Bring your energy, your signs, and your friends. Let’s raise our voices, week after week, until real change is won.

Dress for the weather. Bring your cellphone, water, hats & gloves, umbrella, sunscreen, and a chair if you need one. Bring a sign (use bold, large lettering, so your sign can be read by moving traffic, 2-5 words) or borrow one from our community.

A core principle behind all Indivisible events is a commitment to nonviolent action. We expect all participants to seek to de-escalate any potential confrontation with those who disagree with our values.
