What an exciting time! Joe Biden announced Kamala Harris as his VP pick, and the Democratic National Convention begins on Monday—formally starting the 2020 general Presidential election.

Over the past year, we’ve worked with Crooked Media to raise grassroots donations to give the Biden campaign a boost, right now when they need it most. But we can do even more to support the Biden presidency—we can swing the Senate.

Without a Democratic Senate, the Biden administration will be unable to undo the damage caused over the past four years—McConnell has already promised that every policy and appointment will be vetoed by a Republican-controlled Senate. But Democrats only need to win four seats to flip the Senate, so we’re funneling dollars and volunteer power into the nine closest Senate races.

And this Tuesday, before the second night of the DNC, we’re hosting a virtual event with Pod Save America, Swing Left Senior Advisor Billy Eichner, and other special guests to kick our Swing the Senate efforts into overdrive. Join us on Tuesday, August 18th, at 1pm PT/4pm ET to learn more about flipping the Senate and to write turnout letters to voters in Colorado and Georgia.

It’s not enough for Democrats to win the White House in 2020.  We all remember how the Republican-controlled Senate fought every Obama-era policy and judicial appointment.  We can’t let that happen to a Biden administration—we have to win the Senate.

Georgia and Colorado are key states for flipping the Senate. Georgia has not one but two Senate races this November. By writing voter turnout letters on Tuesday, you’re making an impact in not one, not two, but three huge Senate races.

No matter how people vote this November, writing Vote Forward letters is a proven way to make sure voters cast their ballots. Especially when we can’t knock doors, this is one of the best ways for all of us to make a difference in the Super States.
