Dear Colleagues,
Many thanks to you all who participated in the webinar on Overview of prevention tools and guidance for GC8.
This webinar focused on showcasing the latest HIV prevention guidance and tools to support countries for GC8. The GPC and partners have developed a suite of HIV prevention tools and guidance (e.g., PrEP implementation tools, condom programme optimization tools, VMMC assessment and sustainability tools, priority and key population programme design guides, and resource estimation models) to support countries in designing cost-effective, high-impact prevention Global Fund Proposals for GC8. However, many programme managers, technical partners, and civil society actors are not fully aware of these tools or how to apply them to inform evidence-based prevention sections of the GC8 funding applications.
The webinar aimed at bridging the gap by showcasing practical tools, demonstrating their application, and supporting countries to integrate them into programme design, target setting, budgeting, and implementation planning.
Country experiences from the National AIDS Coordinating Authorities (NACAs) of Cameroon, Mozambique, Papua New Guinea, and Zambia were pivotal in facilitating cross-country learning on how to apply the different HIV prevention tools for GC8 proposal writing and planned implementation.

Thank you so much and we hope that these resources will be instrumental to your Global Fund Cycle 8 (GC8) process. We look forward to seeing you again in the next webinar on prioritization and cost-effectiveness, scheduled to take place on 11 May 2026.
