Powerful forces are stacked against the Guarani, but they refuse to give up their fight. Will you donate to our appeal and stand alongside Indigenous peoples?

Dear Jack,

We wrote to you two days ago with an urgent plea to support Survival International’s work with the Guarani and other Indigenous peoples globally. Powerful forces are stacked against them. But Jack, your contribution now can make a huge impact in the fight for their land rights. Please donate to our vital work today.

In February, US Secretary of State Marco Rubio publicly praised “the West’s” colonialism and “its missionaries, its pilgrims, its soldiers, its explorers pouring out from its shores to…settle new continents”—ignoring the destruction that racist and profit-hungry colonization has inflicted on Indigenous peoples around the world. This colonization continues, through invasions and theft of Indigenous land from peoples like the Guarani. But your contribution to their resistance can make a difference.

The Guarani Kaiowá have long experienced the effects of “Western civilization.” Survival began working with them in 1996. After decades of violent invasions and displacement from their territory, their situation was dire. The theft of their land meant the loss of their identity, triggering a mental health catastrophe and one of the highest suicide rates in the world. We needed to bring global attention to this crisis.

Over the years, Survival’s global movement has rallied in support of the Guarani—signing petitions and sending letters that helped get some Guarani land recognized as Indigenous territory, and providing support to Guarani communities reoccupying their land. Jack, this ongoing support is crucial for Indigenous peoples who are fighting back against powerful attackers —and it’s only possible with your contributions.

Dozens of Guarani have been murdered. Most remain displaced today, and many are forced to work on the land stolen from them. But they refuse to let their relatives’ deaths be in vain: they continue to resist. Your support is more vital now than ever.

Stand with us today ([link removed])

To retain our integrity and independence, Survival refuses funding from governments or anyone who might be violating Indigenous peoples’ rights. Our work relies on you. Jack, will you join the fight for Indigenous lives today?
