Dear A.,

President Trump
[link removed]
said today that Iran is in a "State of Collapse" and wants the United States to open the Strait of Hormuz "as soon as possible."

Mediators in Pakistan expect to
[link removed]
receive an updated ceasefire proposal from Iran in the next few days, after President Trump rejected the regime's previous proposal which failed to address Iran's nuclear program.

The Financial Times reported that the regime is facing serious
[link removed]
internal disputes among rival leadership factions about whether to continue negotiating at all.

Ahead of potential future negotiations, Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi
[link removed]
met yesterday with Russian President Vladimir Putin in Moscow.

Meanwhile, at the United Nations yesterday, Iran was
[link removed]
selected to serve as a vice president at the upcoming conference to review the nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty (NPT).

A U.S. representative said Iran's elevation to the role is "beyond shameful and an embarrassment to the credibility of this conference," adding that it is "indisputable that Iran has long demonstrated its contempt for the non-proliferation commitments of the NPT."

WSJ: Qatar promised to 'look after' ICC prosecutor if he acted against Israel

"The trouble isn't over for Karim Khan," The Wall Street Journal Editorial Board
[link removed]
writes , "He's the International Criminal Court prosecutor who requested arrest warrants for Israel's leaders in 2024, shortly after learning he had been accused of sexual assault... Now a witness statement says the Qatari government promised to 'look after' Mr. Khan if he moved against Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu."

According to documents and recordings reviewed by the Journal, Qatari-linked private intelligence companies worked to try to discredit Khan's alleged victim, and the intelligence operation's manager said that it was "the state" of Qatar that was supporting Khan.

"All the grasping at straws by the intel firms led nowhere, according to persons familiar with the operation. The firms found no evidence the alleged victim was part of any Israeli plot. And if anyone tried to manipulate her, the alleged victim says it was the ICC's Mr. Khan."

"'Think about the Palestinian arrest warrants,' Mr. Khan told her, urging her to withdraw the allegations, according to her U.N. testimony reported by the Journal. She testified that Mr. Khan called her to his hotel suite in New York and forced sexual intercourse-the first of several alleged instances. Mr. Khan denies any misconduct."

"The U.N.'s yearlong inquiry, whose summary we have reviewed, found a 'factual basis' for the alleged victim's allegations and for allegations that Mr. Khan retaliated against ICC staff. Witness accounts of contemporaneous conversations with the alleged victim were found to 'lend support to her claims.' The summary also noted that Mr. Khan 'would not confirm, in an interview, whether he had had a sexual relationship' with his accuser."

Hezbollah continues attacks on Israeli troops, IDF destroys terror infrastructure

The IDF today
[link removed]
destroyed two Hezbollah terror tunnels in southern Lebanon, totaling two kilometers in length, which it said were built with "direct guidance" from Iran.

One of the tunnels had 10 rooms, each with several bunk beds, and both contained significant quantities of weapons and equipment, along with rocket-launching shafts.

This morning, Hezbollah
[link removed]
launched several attack drones at Israeli troops, in another blatant violation of the ceasefire.

In response to Hezbollah's continued attacks, Prime Minister Netanyahu
[link removed]
said in a statement today that he has ordered a "special project" to counter the this threat, saying that "it will take time – but we will take care of that."

Hamas set to select new terror leader

As efforts to advance ceasefire and reconstruction efforts in Gaza under the Board of Peace move slowly, Hamas is set to
[link removed]
select its new leader, the first such selection process since Israel eliminated Ismail Haniyeh and Yahya Sinwar.

Michael Milshtein, head of the Palestinian Studies Forum at Tel Aviv University, said that the election process will be highly secretive, and is limited to the most senior members of the terror group.

Currently, Hamas is reportedly led by five senior terrorists based in Turkey and Qatar: Khalil al-Hayya, Khaled Mashaal, Mohammad Darwish, Zaher Jabarin, and Nizar Awadallah.

"The ability of those outside Gaza to control what happens inside remains very high," Milshtein said. "There is ongoing consultation with those inside Gaza — Mohammed Oudeh, Ali Amoudi, Izz al-Din Haddad — but the hierarchy is clear: the strategic decisions are made outside the Strip, and they implement them."

The mission of AIPAC is to encourage and persuade the U.S. government to enact specific policies that create a strong, enduring and mutually beneficial relationship with our ally Israel.
