Monday 5 August - Monday 16 September: Vernon Road
Road closed between Valley Road/Western Boulevard junction to Nottingham Road/Vernon Road junction outbound only for gas mains renewal. Diversion via Vernon Road and Valley Road/Nottingham Road

Monday 19 August - Friday 13 September: Burns Street
Road closure and parking suspension for gas main renewal

Thursday 29 August - Monday 2 September: North Sherwood Street junction with Bluecoat Street
Three way lights in operation for BT works

Monday 2 - Friday 6 September: St Nicholas Street
Parking bays suspended outside the Royal Children for electrical works


Major Roadworks

Nottingham schools go back next week so there will be increased traffic on the roads. This will affect the Canal Street gas works, please follow the diversion and allow extra time for your journey.

Major gas replacement works will mean Canal Street is closed westbound from London Road to Trent Street from 29 July for 14 weeks. Read more 👉 here

Walking and cycling

Thursday 11 July onwards: Castle Boulevard
Work will begin on a new Stepnell development by the canal side which will affect the Western Cycle Corridor. During the construction there will be vehicles using the cycle lane to access the site so please be extra careful when riding along the route. More information here
