Friend -- No doubt about it, the GOP is scared. Here's what Texas Republican Will Hurd said in a recent interview with Nate Silver's FiveThirtyEight:

"Texas has the opportunity... we might lose the state House. Texas is purple. It's a jump ball. And if we lose the state House, the impact that's going to have on redistricting is going to define politics for a decade."

YES -- that's exactly what we're working for! In 2010, Republicans swept down-ballot races in states like Texas, which allowed them to manipulate the maps for a decade. We can win in 2020 with the power of our grassroots donors, undo that damage, and secure fair maps for the next 10 years!

All we have to do in Texas is flip nine state House seats. In North Carolina we only have to flip five state Senate seats! But to be honest, friend, I'm not sure we'd be able to close the gap if the election were today. We need more resources to pump into state legislative races.
