Support locked out Baltimore musicians this Labor Day.

Dear Friend,

Whether you are performing, enjoying a parade or just relaxing with friends and family this weekend—please support locked out Baltimore Symphony Orchestra musicians this Labor Day.

Symphony management is attempting to impose unjustified concessions, including a demand that players agree to a contract that would cut 12 weeks from the season and slash musicians’ salaries by 20%. When musicians stood together and rejected these and other concessionary demands, management employed starvation tactics—canceling the summer season and locking out the musicians.

The orchestra has been locked out since June 17th—that’s 74 days without a paycheck. Musicians and their families are suffering. If you are able to donate, please click here and join me in providing financial assistance to the talented members of the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra.

AFM members know that many of us standing together are more powerful than any of us acting alone. Best wishes in every way for a happy and healthy Labor Day weekend.

In Unity,
Ray Hair
AFM International President
