Chairman Matt Schlapp’s recent guests on CPAC Live include Secretary of State Mike Pompeo, Chief-of-Staff Mark Meadows, Gov. Scott Walker, and other prominent leading conservative voices. Matt also fought for the conservative agenda several times this week on television.

The Government Affairs team applauds ACU-endorsed candidate Bill Hagerty, who won the primary to serve as the next U.S. Senator from Tennessee.

State Ratings

Our Center for Legislative Accountability released ratings for elected officials in the state of Illinois this week. Additionally, multiple media outlets and legislators cited ACUF’s ratings.

Criminal Justice Reform

The Criminal Justice Reform team helped introduce H.R. 7718: Protecting the Health and Wellness of Babies and Pregnant Women in Custody Act and issued a press release on the FCC’s unanimous vote to facilitate prisoners' access to connecting with their children by phone.
