It’s been three days since my friend, Senator Kamala Harris, was named to the Democratic ticket. Three days—that’s it.
And already, Trump has called her “nasty,” “angry,” and “horrible.” Fox News host Tucker Carlson flat-out refused to pronounce her name properly on his show, even when corrected by a guest. Members of Trump’s family have attacked her character online.
These attacks are baseless and steeped in both racism and sexism. But they also speak to the fact that Trump and his sycophants in the GOP and on Fox News are terrified of Kamala. They have no idea what to do with a strong, brilliant, accomplished and ambitious woman who isn’t afraid to speak her mind.

Listen. Kamala is fearless—just watch a clip of her questioning Brett Kavanaugh during his Senate confirmation hearing. But she can’t win this alone. With the most consequential election of our lifetimes in less than three months, we must come together and say “enough.” Enough of the racist, sexist, patently false BS. We’re better than this.
