In just the last two weeks of July, over 97,000 children in the United States tested positive for COVID-19 -- and that’s while school was out of session! Meanwhile, Sen. Cornyn was going around saying that nobody knows whether kids can get COVID-19 (WRONG), and kids can’t die from it (WRONG).

How can a sitting U.S. senator not know these basic facts -- or does he just not care? Either way, Sen. Cornyn is flat-out disregarding the scientists who tell us that kids can indeed get COVID-19 and transmit it to others around them -- like teachers, parents, and grandparents. We need new representation, and we need it yesterday. Help us elect MJ Hegar, who will listen to health care professionals and do everything she can to protect our kids.

MJ is a mother of two young boys. That means she’s going through the challenges so many families across Texas are facing, like how to handle the school year and how to keep her loved ones safe. She’s not tucked away in a fancy Washington townhouse, she’s living through this, just like us.

And when we win this election and send MJ to DC, you can bet she’s going to fight for us -- for her kids, and for all of our kids.
