When it comes to mayoral races in November, all eyes are on Richmond.

This week's Politico piece told us what we already knew: because Mayor Levar Stoney heard the calls for urgent action and removed city-owned Confederate statues, he's facing one of the most competitive Mayoral races in the country. That's why I'm emailing.

With all eyes on Richmond and the Mayor, we're counting on this grassroots team to help fight back. We set an ambitious mid-month goal of raising $10,000 by midnight tomorrow. Pitch in $5, or whatever you can, now.

Dark money is already rolling into this race to try and unseat the Mayor and protect the status quo. That means we'll have to fight harder than ever before to keep Mayor Stoney in office so he can continue making Richmond the best place it can be.

Outside extremists don't get to decide who our Mayor is — we the people do. We need your help raising the resources necessary to make sure Levar can talk to every voter we can now until Election Day.
