It's Charlie. My job as Chair of the Maine Democratic Party includes making sure we have the resources to prevail against the unprecedented exploitation and gross negligence of the Trump administration.

Maine Democrats are tackling huge challenges this year, and it's crucial that we succeed on all of these fronts:

To do our part to take back Congress, we must elect Democrats to both Congressional districts, and elect a Democratic senator after 30 years of Susan Collins. To sustain our state government xxxxxx against the abuses of the Trump regime, we must elect another Democrat as Governor and maintain our control of both chambers of our Legislature, which will then choose an Attorney General and a Secretary of State who will continue to protect our rights.

The path to taking back Congress and resisting federal abuses runs through Maine. We have the power to limit Donald Trump's lawless regime, and billionaire donors know it.

That is why, right now, they are flooding our state with PAC money at every level.

Mike Johnson has already committed to more than $5 million in television ads for the fall as part of his Super PAC's largest investment to date.

Our strength has always come from grassroots organizing by folks like you, John. More than ever, we must build a future that empowers and supports working Mainers and those they care for. It ensures that our party's priorities meet the needs of Maine families, not wealthy special interests or megacorporations.

But when up against huge spending blitzes like the one about to hit Maine, we need to make sure we meet all our fundraising goals to stay competitive in critical races across the state.
