Dear A.,
In a blatant violation of the ceasefire in Lebanon, Hezbollah fired barrages of missiles and drones at Israeli cities over the weekend, sending thousands of civilians into bomb shelters.
In response to these ceasefire violations, the IDF

launched a wave of strikes on terror infrastructure in Lebanon's Beqaa Valley.
Since Hezbollah escalated its attacks on Israel in March, the IDF has eliminated more than 1,900 Hezbollah operatives.
Over the past few days, Israeli forces eliminated

six terrorists in Bint Jbeil, struck

rocket launchers in Yater and Kafra, and destroyed multiple facilities used by the terror group's elite Radwan Force, along with other terror infrastructure.
Additionally, the IDF uncovered a massive Hezbollah weapons storage facility located in a

As Hezbollah scales up its use of

one-way attack drones , it has begun to operate drones by fiber optic cables, similar to the technology used by Russia in its war against Ukraine.
This new challenge highlights the need for continued investment in counter-drone systems, to help America and Israel adapt to evolving battlefield threats.
Meanwhile, the Lebanese government has yet to take any meaningful steps to disarm Hezbollah, following the ceasefire agreement between the Israeli and Lebanese governments two weeks ago.
An Israeli source

said , "There have been no arrests, no attempts to prevent attacks on our soldiers, and no effort to stop the rocket fire."
Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has given IDF generals "full freedom of action to foil immediate and emerging threats [from Hezbollah]," including those north of the Litani River, while the Lebanese government continues failing to disarm the terror group.

U.S. rejects new Iranian proposal to open Strait of Hormuz: unacceptable for Iran to control who enters international waterway
Secretary of State Marco Rubio today rejected the Iranian regime's latest offer to reopen the Strait of Hormuz, because "What they mean by opening the straits is, 'yes, the straits are open, as long as you coordinate with Iran, get our permission, or we’ll blow you up and you pay us.'"
"That’s not opening the straits. Those are international waterways. They cannot normalize, nor can we tolerate them trying to normalize, a system in which the Iranians decide who gets to use them," Rubio

The United States must continue to impose maximum pressure on the Iranian regime to end its nuclear program and hand over its current stockpile of enriched uranium.

New report: Israel sent Iron Dome to UAE during Iran war
Israel

sent an Iron Dome battery with interceptors and several dozen IDF operators to the UAE during the early days of the Iran war, as the regime targeted Emirati citizens.
This was the first time Iron Dome had been deployed to another country, and the system intercepted dozens of Iranian ballistic missiles, two Israeli sources said.
Op-ed: U.S. aid for Israel 'pays off big for America and the numbers don’t lie'
A new op-ed for the

New York Post highlights the immense benefits of America's investment in annual security assistance to Israel.
"Here’s the truth: It’s the best investment the US government makes. Most of that $3.8 billion must be spent on American-made military equipment. That’s not charity — it’s a subsidy for our own defense industrial base."
"The F-35 program alone — which Israel was the first to use in combat — supports 290,000 American jobs, generates $72 billion in annual economic output and has produced a $173 billion order backlog. Israel’s real-world combat testing fixed critical glitches engineers couldn’t replicate in a lab, contributing to over $40 billion in export sales."
"The intel Israel provides would cost America “five CIAs” to produce independently, US Air Force Gen. George Keegan estimated decades ago — and that has only compounded since. The National Intelligence Program budget was $82 billion for fiscal year 2026; even attributing a fifth of that to CIA-equivalent operations, you’re looking at a return that dwarfs a $3.8 billion investment many times over. Israel also shares daily operational lessons from every American weapons system it fields, saving an estimated 10 to 20 years and potentially billions in research and development."
"Israel’s June 2025 air offensive against Iran — featuring 200 US-made F-35s, F-16s and F-15s — was the most consequential live demonstration of American air superiority in a generation. It exposed the vulnerabilities of Russian and Chinese air defenses, tilted the global balance of power in Washington’s favor and became the best sales pitch Lockheed Martin could ever ask for."

Op-ed: 'The DNC Didn’t Ban AIPAC, But Warning Signs Remain'
Rabbi Stuart Weinblatt writes for
[link removed]
Newsweek about the double standard applied to AIPAC members participating in the political process:
"On any given day, Americans of all backgrounds participate in the political process—lobbying for policies and engaging lawmakers on a wide range of issues. Yet one group, those who support Israel and more specifically the American Israel Public Affairs Committee (AIPAC), is increasingly singled out and demonized, as if its participation in the political process is somehow improper or un-American. The Democratic National Committee’s (DNC) recent decision to reject a resolution targeting AIPAC does not erase the troubling reality that such a proposal advanced as far as it did."
"AIPAC is made up of Americans who support Israel’s right to exist as a Jewish state and to defend itself. When these citizens donate to pro-Israel candidates, they act on a conviction that supporting a longstanding U.S. ally is consistent with and advances American values and interests... They are acting as loyal Americans who want elected officials to recognize that the threats facing the Jewish homeland, and its need to defend itself against enemies bent on its destruction, are real.
"AIPAC supporters are not monolithic. They differ on specific Israeli policies but share a belief that the U.S.-Israel relationship is strategically and morally important. Their political engagement is an expression of that belief, and of their role as advocates for what they see as being in America’s best interests. That’s why the DNC resolution to reject support from AIPAC is so disturbing."
"Even when proposals like the DNC resolution fail, the normalization of rhetoric that singles out pro-Israel participation carries consequences. It risks empowering those who reject Israel’s existence and emboldening those who seek to isolate it on the world stage."
