Dear John,

 

The moment is now.  The Democratic Party is coming together next week to formalize the nomination of Joe Biden for President, and his running mate, Kamala Harris for Vice President. We’ve got a winning ticket, and I’m proud to support it.

 
Though there have been many critical moments and elections in my lifetime as a voter, none feels more urgent than this one.  We need to protect our democracy and preserve our democratic values.  We need to put our internal disagreements aside and work to strengthen our party and our purpose.

 
I’m reaching out on behalf of the Maryland Democratic Party to urge you to contribute.  They are working to organize efforts within Maryland and support efforts in other key battleground states.  In order to do so, in order to WIN in November, they need our support.  Please donate whatever you can.  They will work to ensure that we keep Maryland strong and blue, and bring the country with us!
