Republicans are going around the will of the people to fund ICE and Border Patrol for the rest of Donald Trump’s term.

My fellow Democrats and I have been clear: if Republicans want support for DHS funding, there must be real accountability measures in place.

But instead of working with us, they’re refusing, and now they’re trying to go around us entirely.
They already spent tens of billions of dollars last year on ICE and Customs and Border Protection, and now they want even more, without putting any protections in place for our communities.
Already, Republicans are targeting seats like mine, trying to push policies like these even further without resistance.
