The group that once took down the Klan in court just got indicted for
secretly paying it.
As a black American, I know full well the darker chapters of our
nation's racial past. That's why decent people across the political
spectrum once admired the old Southern Poverty Law Center – the
Alabama law firm that bankrupted the United Klans of America in court
on behalf of the mother of a lynching victim.
_But that SPLC is long gone._
The FBI and the Department of Justice just unsealed an 11-count
federal indictment against the SPLC for wire fraud, bank fraud, and
conspiracy to commit money laundering.
FROM 2014 TO 2023, IT'S ALLEGED THAT THE SPLC SECRETLY WIRED OVER $3
MILLION THROUGH SHELL COMPANIES TO MEMBERS OF THE KKK, THE NATIONAL
SOCIALIST MOVEMENT, THE ARYAN NATIONS-AFFILIATED SADISTIC SOULS
MOTORCYCLE CLUB, THE MOB THAT MARCHED IN CHARLOTTESVILLE – AND YES,
EVEN TO THE SAME UNITED KLANS CHAPTER THEY ONCE SUED INTO OBLIVION.
That's not fighting racism. That's betraying the fight.
Every dollar they wired to a Klansman was a dollar stolen from the
real work of confronting the evil they claimed to oppose. Every smear
they pinned on a Christian pastor, a pro-life volunteer, or a black
conservative like me was built on fraud – while the actual
extremists got paid behind the curtain.
AS KENTUCKY'S ATTORNEY GENERAL, I TOOK DOWN SCHEMES LIKE THIS. AS A
BLACK CONSERVATIVE WHO BELIEVES EVERY PERSON IS MADE IN GOD'S IMAGE,
I'VE WATCHED THE LEFT'S DECEITFUL AND TOXIC RACIAL RACKET HURT THE
VERY COMMUNITIES IT CLAIMS TO HELP FOR MY ENTIRE ADULT LIFE.
_I am done watching it wreck our country._
President Trump and his administration are doing the Lord's work in
going after this type of shameful fraud and dismantling blatantly
racist and un-American things like DEI and CRT in our schools. But
they cannot finish it without reinforcements in the U.S. Senate –
and Chuck Schumer has Kentucky's open seat circled in red for
November.
MAY 19TH IS NEARLY UPON US. THE REPUBLICAN PRIMARY TO REPLACE RETIRING
SENATOR MITCH MCCONNELL – THE RACE THAT DECIDES WHO CARRIES THIS
FIGHT TO WASHINGTON – IS JUST WEEKS AWAY.
President Trump has endorsed me TWICE before as I came up through
Kentucky politics – including in my successful race for Attorney
General. He called me a "young star" worthy of his "complete and total
