The Global Fund Grant Cycle 8 (GC8) process has been initiated in majority of the eligible countries. It is a critical time for countries to leverage the latest HIV prevention guidance and tools resources to design resilient and sustainable prevention programmes. The current financial landscape requires a strengthened understanding of accountability and prioritization for prevention to ensure that the people in need of prevention, particularly in high incidence settings, have access to the right prevention packages and prevention options of their choice through trusted access platforms, at the right price.
To achieve this, the GPC and partners have developed a suite of HIV prevention tools and guidance (e.g., PrEP implementation tools, condom programme optimization tools, VMMC assessment and sustainability tools, priority and key population programme design guides, resource estimation models and demand generation) to support countries in designing cost-effective, high-impact prevention Global Fund Proposals for GC8. However, many programme managers, technical partners, and civil society actors are not fully aware of these tools or how to apply them to inform evidence-based prevention sections of the GC8 funding applications.
This webinar aims to bridge that gap by showcasing practical tools, demonstrating their application, and supporting countries to integrate them into programme design, target setting, budgeting, and implementation planning.
Objectives
To enhance country capacity to use HIV prevention tools for evidence-based planning, resource mobilization, and effective programme implementation.
To support countries with understanding, how to identify and apply key HIV prevention tools available for programme planning, costing, and monitoring.
