I couldn't have been more excited to learn that Kamala Harris will be running alongside Joe Biden in the fight to defeat Donald Trump in the 2020 presidential election.

Joe hit a home run with Kamala. I've known Kamala a long time, and we have a lot in common. We've both fought for working Americans during our shared history working as attorneys general. During the housing crisis, together, we took on the Big Banks for their predatory lending practices and brought back billions of dollars in relief to hardworking Americans in our states. And we both became freshman senators together in 2016, as the nation confronted our new reality under Donald Trump's extremist presidency.

Throughout our years of service together, I have witnessed Kamala's fearless, intelligent and compassionate leadership every step of the way. And I know that she will be an incredible vice president - the first woman and person of color to hold the position - of the United States. Kamala is the fighter we need as this election could not be more important. I've never known her to shy away from fighting like hell for what's right. If anyone can make the case against Donald Trump, it's Joe Biden and Kamala Harris.

For four years, Donald Trump and Mitch McConnell have pushed extremist judges into courts across the country, rolled back our reproductive freedoms and stripped access to health care for millions of Americans. That's why it's crucial that Democrats flip the White House and the Senate blue this November - the future of our country depends on it.

But Nov. 3 is coming up in the blink of an eye, and voters in key battlegrounds for the Senate and White House are mailing in their ballots in just weeks while Trump doubles down on his vote-by-mail attacks here in Nevada and across the country. What we do right now could make or break our chances at a Democratic White House and Senate - so I'm coming to you personally, John:
